For the past 18 years, we’ve led informative and inspiring professional development with teachers across North America in how to:

   

• Inspire teachers to re-connect with their voice and authenticity

• Ground teachers in the reality that challenging situations are unsettling and they are not alone

• Guide teachers with a variety of practical strategies they can integrate into practice in tricky moments

• Help fill in the gap in North American teacher education programs on how to respond to challenging situations

We’ve just launched our first two online micro course on systeme.io around ways to minimize behaviors which are challenging. In Proactive Strategy #1 about Rapport, you'll learn: What rapport is, Why rapport is distinct from liking, The importance of being proactive in our practice and, How being proactive minimizes challenging behavior. In Proactive Strategy #2 about Boundaries, you'll learn how boundaries are about what works and what doesn't work, How boundaries help us remember ourselves, especially in tricky situations, How boundaries alert us to doing too much! and How using boundaries proactively minimizes challenging behavior.
