Katy (Bigsby) Henderson
Founder and Adult Educator
Katy inspires teachers to reclaim their authentic voice through lived wisdom and deep commitment to what lies beyond challenging situations. For the past 18 years, she’s designed and led pro-d with teachers across North America, on teacher wellbeing especially in tricky situations.
Katy is known for her creative insights and her compassion. She loves dancing and singing, two ways that she connects with her authentic self.
Katy holds a Master of Education specializing in Adult Education. She lives with her son and dog on the west coast of Canada.

Joni Van Ommen
Workshop Facilitator and Content Editor
Joni is a workshop facilitator and content editor with REiL Learning, and is deeply interested in human behaviour and social-emotional learning. Joni has degrees in Psychology and Education, and has been a teacherfor over twenty years.
She has worked with children from preschool to high school, and has worked within a variety of educational systems, including public, independent, and community-led learning. Joni has been a classroom teacher, Learning Assistance teacher, WellnessSupport teacher, and was a trained facilitator for the Mandt Program, a relationship-centered, positive-behaviour support program. Joni loves to eat popcorn for dinner, read a good book by the fire with acat in her lap, and laugh with loved ones.

Nubia Corona
Graphic Designer
Nubia is a graphic designer who loves bringing ideas to life through thoughtful, creative, and purposeful design. With over 13 years of experience, she has worked across branding, editorial design, and visual communication, always looking for ways to make information feel clear, engaging, and approachable.
She has a background in Graphic Design, along with studies in business administration and data analysis, which bring a practical and curious perspective to her creative work.
Nubia loves cooking, crafting, spending time with her family, being outdoors, and finding inspiration in the little details of everyday life.
